Joe Flacco is gone. Now, rookie Dillon Gabriel will be QB1 for the Cleveland Browns for most of the remaining games if all goes well. With Gabriel leading the offense, one Browns wide receiver could shake up fantasy football ranks.
The Browns traded veteran Flacco to the on Tuesday, after benching him before Week 5. Gabriel made his NFL debut last Sunday in London.
The key beneficiary will potentially be wide receiver Isaiah Bond, who in Gabriel's first start became one of his primary targets, leading the Browns' wide receivers with seven targets in Week 5, trailing only tight end David Njoku's nine.
Pro Football Focus' Michelle Magdziuk highlighted Bond's increased target share and noted the favorable matchup in Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Magdziuk wrote:
"The Steelers have allowed the third-most receiving yards per game to wide receivers in 2025, while also allowing 11.4 receptions of 10-plus yards per game (third-most in the NFL) and 3.5 receptions of 20-plus yards per game (fifth-most in the NFL)."
According to PFF, Bond has demonstrated his 4.39-second speed by making significant plays, including catching passes of more than 20 yards in each of the last two games.
Magdziuk added:
"He is due for a breakout game, and I believe it comes this Sunday in Pittsburgh."
Bond will be an integral part of the Browns' passing attack. With little time left before Week 6, fantasy football managers should act quickly and consider adding him as a top waiver-wire target immediately.
The stage is set for Bond to emerge as a valuable fantasy asset if he capitalizes on his opportunities against a vulnerable Steelers secondary.
