The Cowboys continue to be shorthanded at the offensive skill positions, and they made a handful of roster moves before Week 6 to augment.
The Dallas Cowboys are once again shuffling the roster on the offensive side of the ball the day prior to a game. Earlier in the season, it was the defense acting as the focus of the pregame roster shuffle, but over the past two weeks the offense has been the center of attention.
Dallas lost running back Miles Sanders this week, after missing Week 5 against the Jets he has now been ruled out for the season. The team waited until Saturday to officially move him to IR, opening up a roster spot on the 53-man roster. In a corresponding move, the club signed WR/KR Jalen Cropper. Cropper has been elevated from the practice squad the last two weeks to fill in as punt returner while Kavontae Turpin has been hampered.
With Turpin and more importanly CeeDee Lamb missing this game as well, the club made the elevation permanent, signing him to the big club. The team is also elevating Parris Campbell, who rejoined the team's PS last week after being with them during the summer until he was waived/injured.
