World Cup 2026/Steve Mounié: "We will give everything to qualify Benin"

The Cheetahs’ captain, Steve Mounié, has spoken about the crucial match against Nigeria, a decisive fixture for qualification to the 2026 World Cup.

Benin, currently leading Group C with 17 points, will travel to Uyo on Tuesday to face the Super Eagles. A draw might be enough, but Mounié is aiming higher:

We play football for games like this. It will be a historic moment. We will give everything to take Benin to the World Cup.
