The nominees for The Sporting News Iowa high school football team of the week from October 10 are listed below:

Ankeny: Coming off a tough loss, the Hawks jumped all over Ames, scoring four touchdowns in the first quarter as they picked up a 55-3 victory. Daniel Larmie ran for 142 yards and three touchdowns while Kael Roush completed 13 of 17 for 145 and two scores to Owen Fischer.

Audubon: The Wheelers were off to the races, scoring 46 points in the opening 12 minutes and 86 for the game. Aiden Kjergaard ran for 136 yards and six TDs, completing his only pass for a 51-yard touchdown. 

Iowa City Regina: Kyle Tracy completed all seven of his pass attempts, six of which went for touchdowns in a 49-8 victory. Tracy threw for 372 yards in the game as Savion Miller caught two passes for 98 yards and a pair of TDs.

Sioux City East: The Black Raiders scored 14 unanswered points in the second half, besting Johnston in a key 5A showdown, 21-17. The win was the first for the school over a CIML opponent since 2013.

Okoboji: Asa Jacobsen kicked through a 29-yard field goal in the fourth to keep the Pioneers unbeaten with a 17-15 victory over OABCIG. 

Waukee Northwest: The last unbeaten in 5A, the Wolves knocked off four-time defending state champion Southeast Polk, 38-7. Mack Heitland threw for 251 yards, Ryan Woodruff ran for 115 with three TDs and Jordon Green had 160 yards receiving.
