Even Xabi Alonso’s arrival has not helped Endrick’s situation anywhere close to how he would have liked it to be, for the manager has not given the player any playing time so far this season.

The Brazilian youngster last featured for Real Madrid against Sevilla in May, and has been nursing back-to-back injuries ever since.

He returned to the squad for the team’s game against Espanyol last month but did not come off the bench on the night, nor in the four games that followed.

Needless to say, his situation does not look promising.

Endrick’s youth coach speaks

Speaking to AS in a recent interview, Endrick’s first coach Eduardo Alemao was asked to give his opinion on the Real Madrid star’s situation and how he saw the player’s growth in the coming years.

He began by revealing how he discovered the Brazilian talent and how Endrick always stood out as something special.

“We brought him to test after watching some videos, and in the first training sessions he showed what he is capable of doing. He ended up being approved.”

“What caught our attention the most was his personality. And it was more a privilege for Palmeiras to have him than for him to have Palmeiras,” he added.

The coach then spoke about how he used Endrick as a winger in the lower categories, particularly on the left side, and how the player was versatile enough to fit into the dynamic.

“He was promoted in level, from U-11 to U-13. I called him and said I have a place for you on the team on the wing.

And he told me okay. He started playing on the left super well,” he said.

Tough situation at Real Madrid

When asked about Endrick’s limited playing time at Real Madrid and whether playing on the wing was a possible solution, he said,

“When he went to Madrid, I knew it was going to be very difficult. It’s a gigantic club.

But with time, he will earn a slot. I am very confident that he will be very important.”

Alemao was then quizzed on whether a departure, even on loan, was a good idea for Endrick at this point in time.

“It’s difficult, but I believe in him so much, that in a few minutes, he will manage to make room for himself. He must keep trying,” he advised.

Finally, the coach was asked if Brazil’s current trident of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Raphinha could be likened to legends like Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Nazario, and Rivaldo, to which he straight out said,

“It’s impossible, they are different times. But I think this team can also win the World Cup.

Who knows if at some point those players will take a step forward,” he concluded.
