Broncos' updated depth chart for Sunday's game vs. Jets

Here's a look at the Broncos' depth chart going into Sunday's game against the Jets.

The Denver Broncos have released an updated depth chart ahead of their London showdown with the New York Jets in Week 6, but there are no notable changes.

On the defensive line, Malcolm Roach returns as the No. 2 defensive tackle behind D.J. Jones. On the offensive line, Alex Palczewski is listed as the fill-in guard after the team lost Ben Powers to injury, but it remains to be seen if that reflects reality.

Fans should note that while this depth chart comes straight from the team, the Broncos still call it an "unofficial" depth chart, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. It's roughly a reflection of how coach Sean Payton stacks up each position, but there are clearly a few exceptions.

Denver Broncos Depth Chart

Broncos depth chart

Quarterback (3)

Bo Nix enters Year 2 looking to build on his promising rookie season.

Running back (4)

Denver also has Deuce Vaughn available on the practice squad.

Tight end/fullback (4)

Lucas Krull (foot) was placed on injured reserve last week. He'll miss at least four games.

Wide receiver (5)

Sutton (70) and Franklin (44) continue to lead the wide receiver snaps and Bryant (40) got a boost last week, seeing more action than Mims (27) and Sherfield (16).

Offensive line (8)

  • LT: Garett Bolles, Matt Peart
  • LG: [TBD], Alex Palczewski
  • C: Luke Wattenberg, Alex Forsyth
  • RG: Quinn Meinerz, Alex Palczewski
  • RT: Mike McGlinchey, Frank Crum

Palczewski is listed as the backup guard on the depth chart, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'd slide into the starting spot. We'll find out on Sunday.

Defensive line (7)

  • DE: Zach Allen, Jordan Jackson
  • DT: D.J. Jones, Malcolm Roach
  • DE: John Franklin-Myers, Eyioma Uwazurike, Sai'vion Jones

Roach is back from IR and set to serve as a key rotational defensive lineman.

Outside linebacker (5)

Robinson has been a healthy scratch for the team's first five games, which is more of a reflection of the Broncos' impressive OLB depth than any kind of indictment on Robinson.

Inside linebacker (4)

After placing Dre Greenlaw on injured reserve, the Broncos list Justin Strnad as a starter next to Alex Singleton. Garret Wallow was promoted from the practice squad last week.

Cornerback (5)

Surtain (61) and Moss (61) continue to play all the defensive snaps at the outside cornerback spots. McMillian (42) remains the nickelback with Barron (10) getting rotational snaps in the secondary.

Safety (5)

Key and Skinner got four snaps on defense last week while Locke continues to play exclusively on special teams.

Special teams (3)

  • KWil Lutz
  • P: Jeremy Crawshaw
  • LS: Mitchell Fraboni
  • KR: Marvin Mims, Jaleel McLaughlin, Tyler Badie
  • PR: Marvin Mims, Riley Moss

Harvey still isn't listed as a backup returner on the depth chart despite returning 10 kickoffs for 238 yards in the team's last four games.
