Champions League 2025-26: Napoli striker tipped to shine in Europe

Napoli will bid to boost their chances of making progress in the 2025-26 Champions League when they visit PSV Eindhoven on October 21.

The Serie A giants suffered a defeat in their opening game at Manchester City, but bounced back with a hard-fought victory over Sporting SP in their second outing.

On-loan striker Rasmus Hojlund scored twice against the Primeira Liga outfit and will fancy his chances of adding to his tally as the competition progresses.

The Champions League betting odds at Spreadex Sports favour Hojlund to top the scoring charts for Napoli in the Champions League, predicting he will bag at least five goals this season.

The Denmark international will be eager to outstrip that prediction and help Napoli make a deep run in UEFA’s top club competition.

Read on as we look at the latest betting for the Champions League, before assessing how Napoli are likely to fare in the rest of the opening phase.

Champions League 2025-26 – Hojlund eager to continue his good form

Hojlund joined the reigning Serie A champions from Manchester United on loan for the season, and he has settled in well with the club.

After bagging four goals in six appearances across all competitions, the 22-year-old has started to show why the Red Devils may have slipped up by letting him go.

The Danish international aimed a dig at United in a recent interview, claiming he has rediscovered his touch because he is now playing for a ‘good football team’.

Hojlund clearly feels he has a point to prove after failing to live up to expectations at United, which could work in Napoli’s favour this season.

Odds of 28/1 to win the Champions League highlight the size of the task they face, but it would be foolish to completely dismiss their chances.

Manager Antonio Conte is a serial winner and his talented squad have the ability to match the so-called big guns in this competition.

While PSV will be no pushovers on Matchday 3, Napoli are perfectly capable of going to the Netherlands and securing a positive result.

Subsequent home fixtures against Eintracht Frankfurt and Qarabag offer Napoli the chance to put themselves into a healthy position in the league phase.

Visits to Benfica and FC Copenhagen will be challenging, while the final home game against Chelsea is an extremely tough test.

However, securing a top-eight finish is an achievable aim for Napoli, and they look a good bet to get the job done with Hojlund in their ranks.
