FC Barcelona already has its next Lamine Yamal in the making—a sensational young talent hailing from Gambia.
Even with Lamine Yamal shining brilliantly, FC Barcelona isn't slowing down in its pursuit of nurturing future stars. Looking ahead to the coming years, Barça appears to have found its next high-potential forward: Ebrima Tunkara, just 15 years old. The young Gambian is making an outstanding start with the Catalan club’s youth squads as well as the Spanish national youth teams. Born in Gambia and arriving in Spain in 2017, Ebrima Tunkara is already being hailed as the latest sensation from La Masia.
Ebrima stands out thanks to his maturity and immense potential. This has allowed him to quickly rise through the ranks at FC Barcelona, starring for both the U15 and U16 teams, and he’s already playing above his age group. This season, he has joined Barça’s U19 squad, where his dribbling skills and technical prowess are wreaking havoc against players much older than him.
During this October’s international break, Ebrima Tunkara lit up the stage with Spain’s U17 side. He netted a brace and provided an assist against Andorra (3-0), then found the target again versus Latvia (5-0).
