Laura Blindkilde Brown felt City were full value for our 2-1 win over Liverpool, even if we did leave it late to grab all three points.
The Blues dominated for large spells at Anfield but found ourselves a goal behind when Cornelia Kapocs nodded home Ceri Holland’s teasing ball to the far post.
City responded soon after through Iman Beney and would seal a fifth successive WSL win thanks to a powerful drive from Aoba Fujino with stoppage time approaching.
Having got the better of Arsenal with a similarly late strike last week, Blindkilde Brown highlighted the team’s perseverance as a key reason for another big win.
Speaking to Sky Sports, she said: "We always push it to the end, and we never give up. We deserved the win in the end.
"We pushed and pushed in the second half and managed to get the two goals in the end.
“As a team, we never give up.”
City move back up to second in the WSL table with our win on Merseyside, one point behind league leaders Chelsea heading into the first international break of the season.

The Blues have scored more goals than any other side in the WSL so far across 2025/26, and Blindkilde Brown thinks Head Coach Andrée Jeglertz’s methods are an important part of that success.
“We have such good team spirit,” she added.
“Whoever comes on always contributes and it's just a great feeling within the team.
"Andrée [Jeglertz] likes us to play with freedom and find different ways to take on the opponents."
