Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins suffered an apparent injury during the third quarter of the team's NFL Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
Higgins was evaluated after making a catch near the goal line.
The officiating crew was notified, according to the broadcast, after Higgins' catch, and Higgins was taken off the field to the blue medical tent, presumably to be checked for a possible concussion.
Higgins returned to the game for a 4th-and-2 try that resulted in Tanner Hudson's touchdown reception.
Higgins, Cincinnati's second-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, played in 12 games during the 2024 season, his fifth with the Bengals.
Higgins suffered a left ankle injury during the third quarter of their NFL Week 16 win against Cleveland at Paycor Stadium. Higgins returned to the game early in the fourth quarter.
Higgins hurt his back at the end of the first quarter of the Bengals' NFL Week 11 loss to the Chargers. He took a hard shot to the back from Denzel Perryman after an 8-yard catch from Burrow on fourth down. Higgins was helped off the field by the training staff, and went to the blue medical tent for evaluation. After medical personnel applied lotion to his lower back, he returned, and finished the game with nine catches for 148 receiving yards.
After the Bengals' 27-20 win in Dallas, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow said he was confident the team could get Higgins to return to Cincinnati despite becoming a free agent at the end of the season.
Higgins did not play in the Bengals' games against the Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles because of a quad injury. He missed the team's first two games of the season with a hamstring injury.
