When the look back on their 17-3 loss to the , John Harbaugh's team is going to be mighty ticked off.

The Ravens did more than enough to win this game, but self-inflicted wounds plagued the team with seven crucial penalties and being 0/3 in the redzone, being a key reason why Baltimore slumped to its fifth loss of the season.

Baltimore had more total yards, ran 24 more plays, and had the ball for over 15 minutes more, but the penalties, plus two fumbles and an interception, plagued the team and would ultimately be the catalyst for the loss.

And you can bet that Cooper Rush, who saw Derrick Henry run for 122 yards on 24 carries, was left lamenting the self-inflicted wounds.

“We were just running, it was working, we just kept shooting ourselves in our foot,” Rush said. “Untimely penalties, getting some third and longs in the red zone, it's tough. It's tough those days where you feel like they didn't stop you, you stopped yourself. Defense played great, special teams got short fields. We just had to capitalize.”

Ravens season on life support

Baltimore now heads into its bye at 1-5, and the franchise will be hoping that Lamar Jackson is good to go for Week 7 against the , because this team needs a boost of confidence.

Some think the season is over already, and there might be a shred of truth to that, but until it is mathematically impossible for the Ravens to make the postseason, there's hope.

But right now, there isn't much with the team decimated by injury, at 1-5 with no light at the end of the tunnel, the season feels like a wash.

Can Lamar save the year? He might have to, and to do that, he's got to be back in Week 7.
