The Georgia Bulldogs will face the Ole Miss Rebels in a top-10 clash next week in Athens per the latest US LBM Coaches Poll rankigns
The Georgia Bulldogs have moved up two spot in the US LBM Coaches Poll and are ranked No. 7 in the country after earning a 20-10 road win over the Auburn Tigers. Georgia has now defeated Auburn nine times in a row and has momentum heading into a top-10 clash with the No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels at home on Oct. 18.
A tale of two halves," Georgia coach Kirby Smart said after the Bulldogs' overcame a 10-point deficit against Auburn. "Our kids never quit. I'm proud of our kids. I'm as proud of this team as I am probably any team ever from the performance."
Georgia's win over Auburn keeps the Bulldogs squarely in the College Football Playoff race. Georgia needs to finish the regular season with two losses or less to feel confident about making the playoff.
We don't think Georgia has many easy games left outside of the Charlotte game. Overall, Georgia also has three remaining games against ranked opponents (No. 17 Texas, No. 4 Ole Miss and No. 12 Georgia Tech). Georgia has a win over No. 11 Tennessee and a loss to No. 6 Alabama.
Ohio State remains the top team in the poll. No. 2 Miami, No. 3 Indiana, No. 4 Texas A&M, No. 5 Ole Miss and No. 6 Alabama are the only teams ranked ahead of Georgia.
