Zidane found great success at Real Madrid as a manager between 2016-2018 and later 2019-2021.
During this time he won three Champions Leagues and two La Liga crowns.
He has been out of a job since 2021 but he has constantly been linked to the United job everytime there have been rumours of a sacking at Old Trafford.

Current United boss Amorim has regularly been under pressure at Old Trafford but eased it a little with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland before the international break.
What’s more, club owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has already claimed that he will get three years to turn things around at the club, quelling rumours of an imminent exit from the United hotseat.
Zidane comments
Nonetheless, until the team builds up any sort of consistency, there will always be doubts over his future and Zidane’s comments will certainly spark some rumours.
The Manchester Evening News report that he claimed “I will return, definitely” when asked about his managerial future.
The former French international did give an indication of where he sees himself one day as head coach.
He asserted, “it hasn’t happened before, I’ve made other choices. Juve will always remain in my heart, it gave me a lot from the beginning when I went there.”
Zidane later commented that he certainly does see himself in international future.
The World Cup winner predicted, “as for the future, I don’t know. My feeling is that I would like to coach the national team in the future — not necessarily now, but one day, yes.”
