Northern Ireland and Germany will lock horns in a high-intensity 2026 World Cup qualifying match on Monday.

In a tight European Group A, Germany, Northern Ireland and Slovakia all have six points from three games. Germany, however, lead the group due to a superior goal difference.

Playing at home at Windsor Park, Northern Ireland will be keen to break the tie and surge to the top of the group on Monday. They come into the match on the back of a 2-0 win over Slovakia and will be buzzing to avenge their 1-3 defeat against Germany in the qualifiers last month.

Germany, meanwhile, recovered from a shock 0-2 loss to Slovakia in the opening match by scoring commanding wins over Northern Ireland and Luxembourg (4-0).
