Take a look at this week's Chiefs Stock Watch to see which players were risers & fallers in Week 6 vs. the Detroit Lions | @EdEastonJr
The Kansas City Chiefs relied on a return to Arrowhead Stadium for a bounce-back performance under the lights on 'Sunday Night Football' against the Detroit Lions.
Patrick Mahomes had a long wait to start his first drive, with the Lions offense controlling the time of possession in the opening period. He immediately made strikes down the field to several receivers, including a touchdown pass to Xavier Worthy and two to Hollywood Brown, and eventually ran one in himself. Isiah Pacheco was aggressive through challenging runs in traffic, and Jaylon Moore was sufficient in relief of an unavailable Josh Simmons at left tackle.
On defense, the Chiefs' unit avoided an avalanche of scoring due to the Lions' miscues and penalties. The team effort helped keep the league's best offense in check for the majority of the game. Chris Jones was effective playing through an injury, opening a fourth-quarter sack opportunity for Charles Omenihu. Leo Chenal was great in coverage, while Chamarri Connor led the team in tackles.
Check out how some of Kansas City's stars fared in the Chiefs' victory over Detroit:
Stock Up: Travis Kelce
Kelce had his best game of the season, looking fast and elusive in space. He finished Sunday night's game with six catches for 78 yards.
Stock Up: Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes had a dazzling performance, completing 22 of 30 passes for 257 yards and three passing touchdowns. He also rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown.
Stock Up: Hollywood Brown
The veteran wide receiver became the ideal red zone target in the second half with two touchdown receptions. It was the first time in four seasons Brown had accomplished that milestone, finishing the game with four catches for 45 yards and those two touchdowns.
Stock Down: Harrison Butker
Another game and another missed kick for the Chiefs' kicker after a failed PAT in the first quarter. Butker has missed field goals and made crucial errors on kickoffs as his uncharacteristic start to the season continues.
