Enzo Molebe (18) wasn’t shy when he outlined his objectives for his professional career during an interview with Onze Mondial

Molebe has only made four appearances for formative club Olympique Lyonnais, but he has big aims. Two of those appearances have come this season, although neither has come as from the start. However, the France youth international is expected to get game time this season.

With Alexandre Lacazette and Georges Mikautadze both leaving over the summer, their departures, coupled with limited means, meant that Lyon couldn’t splash the cash by bringing in replacements. Martín Satriano did arrive, however, his game time has been limited. Often, Paulo Fonseca has opted to start without a No.9.

However, it is within this context that Molebe is looking to make his breakthrough. In the long term, his goal is to follow in the footsteps of another former OL academy product. “I dream of winning the Ballon d’Or and becoming the greatest forward the world has ever seen,” Molebe told Onze Mondial.

He will have been inspired by the trajectory of Karim Benzema, who left Lyon to join Real Madrid, where he would go on to win the Ballon d’Or.
