Chelsea and Dortmund have done plenty of business together in recent years – Carney Chukwuemeka made the permanent move this summer, while Aaron Anselmino moved on loan.
Disasi is currently frozen out of the main squad at Stamford Bridge, training in the “bomb squad” with Raheem Sterling away from the main group. Various moves in the summer fell through, including a last minute move back to former club Monaco.
Top German paper Bild say that Disasi is being considered as a potential replacement for Nico Schlotterbeck, who is expected to leave next summer.
Anselmino is supposed to be helping bridge that gap, but his persistent injuries have stopped him making much of an impact, and there’s already talk that the German giants are ready to move on from him without making a permanent offer.
Disasi is a solid player, although we can see him struggling in the big spaces of the very open Bundesliga. At this stage, after a couple of years of trying to get rid of him, Chelsea’s demands are going to be pretty reasonable. Maybe a deal could happen?
In other news…
Chelsea are already lining up a potential Disasi replacement for next summer – Ronald Araujo of Barcelona has been linked with a summer move to the Blues once again, although we have our doubts about the finances.
Meanwhile the Blues’ stats from the season so far aren’t too pleasant – their xG is falling compared to last season and there’s not an obvious solution to the problem until Liam Delap and Cole Palmer are back and firing again.
