In the Cougars’ 33-27 double overtime win over the Wildcats, Martin rushed for a career-high 162 yards with a touchdown to help BYU remain unbeaten.
Martin currently sits atop the Big 12 rushing leaderboard with 652 yards in six games, averaging 6.5 yards per attempt and finding the end zone four times.

The junior from El Paso, Texas, has run for 1,888 yards since arriving in Provo in 2023, scoring 18 touchdowns in that span.
Additionally, BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week for the fourth time in six weeks.

Bachmeier threw for a touchdown and ran for two more against Arizona, with the first of his rushing scores forcing overtime and the second ultimately winning the game.
Strong performances from Martin and Bachmeier will be crucial for BYU to get past rival Utah in Saturday’s ranked matchup.
