After going to Oklahoma State, Cincinnati Bearcats football will play Baylor at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, at Nippert Stadium
Undefeated at Nippert Stadium this season, the No. 24 University of Cincinnati Bearcats football squad will return home Saturday, Oct. 25, to face the Baylor Bears at 4 p.m. on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.
The Big 12 made the announcement Monday, Oct. 13. UC's last home night game was last year's finale, played in the snow against TCU. That was the only "Nipp at night" in 2024. There were only two in 2023 (against Miami University and Kansas).
The 5-1 (3-0 Big 12) Bearcats are in Stillwater Saturday, Oct. 17, to take on Oklahoma State. The Bearcats are one win away from bowl eligibility.
Cincinnati Bearcats homecoming game vs. Baylor
UC last played Baylor two years ago at Nippert Stadium in their inaugural Big 12 season. Down 29-14 going into the fourth quarter, the Bearcats got within a field goal with just over five minutes left in the game. They would regain possession with a little over two minutes to play. Unable to get in scoring position, they lost 32-29.
It was one of several games that season where they outgained the opponent but lost. UC had 450 yards of offense to 396 for the Bears, and they outrushed them 288-80.
How has Baylor Bears football schedule been this season
Coach Dave Aranda's team is 4-2 (2-1 Big 12). Their league loss was to Arizona State and they have wins at Oklahoma State and at home vs. Kansas State. Baylor was idle Oct. 11 and is at TCU Oct. 18.
Oklahoma State football schedule for Saturday, Oct. 11

Big 12 honors Cincinnati Bearcats football punter Max Fletcher
UC's redshirt junior punter shared Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week with Houston kicker Ethan Sanchez. Fletcher had five punts vs. UCF for 206 yards with a long of 50 yards. Though his average was just 41.2, he placed four inside the 20-yard line with his last pushing UCF back to their own 2-yard line late in the game.
Fletcher credits new special teams coach Luke Paschall.
"Getting a new scheme is the biggest thing," Fletcher said. "He's done a wonderful job. Guys like (starters) Christian Harrison and Jake Golday are on the punt team and help me out. That's really good."
Fletcher is the brother of Mason Fletcher who has returned to Australia. The Bearcats have had Australian punters the past nine seasons, dating back to James Smith, Mason Fletcher and now Max.
