Packers' Josh Jacobs productive day came despite vomiting before, during game: 'I'm ready to go lay down'

Jacobs ran for 93 yards and two touchdowns during a win over the Bengals

You wouldn't have known Josh Jacobs was feeling under the weather during his two-touchdown performance on Sunday. The Green Bay Packers running back was hit by something hard when he woke up, but it wasn't enough to slow him down against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jacobs told reporters after the Packers' 27-18 win that he wasn't feeling his best all day Sunday, which included two vomiting episodes before and after the Week 6 victory. Still, an upset stomach wasn't going to keep him off the field, especially when that type of bug has brought him good luck in the past.

"I really don't know where it came from," Jacobs said afterward. "I just kind of woke up this morning just not feeling my best. But I told 'em, the last time that I felt that way, I had 130 [yards] and two touchdowns. So, it is what it is."

Jacobs added that he was miked up for the game and joked that he was unsure if him getting sick on the field would make the final cut. What did make it was the running back getting his pregame prediction nearly 100% spot on, while laughing and enjoying every minute on the field.

Along with the two scores, Jacobs ran for 93 yards on 18 carries, while also catching all five of his targets for 57 yards as Green Bay improved to 3-1-1. He's now tied for second in the NFL with six rushing touchdowns and has 17 touchdowns over his last 13 games played.

After his 86 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, plus 71 receiving yards last week, Jacobs is the first Packers player with at least 150 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in consecutive games since Ahman Green in 2001.

After a productive day at the office despite not feeling his best, Jacobs had only one thing in mind afterward.

"I'm ready to go lay down," he said.
