Cardiff City have been drawn away to Peterborough United in the first round of the FA Cup, while Newport County will host Gillingham.

Ties are set to be played around the weekend of Saturday, 1 November.

Both Welsh clubs have been drawn against sides from their own division.

Cardiff beat Peterborough 2-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium in the first game of the season, with Posh currently propping up the bottom of League One while the Bluebirds are third.

The roles are reversed in League Two, with Newport still in the relegation places despite last weekend's win at Accrington Stanley, while the Gills are riding high in third - helped by beating the Exiles 3-1 at Rodney Parade in September.
