With Week 6 of the NFL season concluding on Monday night, it's getting closer to the time for head coaches to be losing their jobs.
One team in particular is having a surprisingly frustrating start through six games: the Miami Dolphins. This makes head coach Mike McDaniel a possible hot-seat candidate if Miami's season continues to decline.
So, what can be expected for the Dolphins and their head coach since 2022?
NFL insiders don't believe Mike McDaniel's job is at risk
The Miami Dolphins aren't in last place in the AFC East – that spot belongs to the NFL's worst New York Jets at 0-6 – but growing concern surrounds the franchise's future under head coach Mike McDaniel.
According to Dolphins insider Joe Schad, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport mentioned, "From my understanding it would take something significant for the Miami Dolphins to move on from the head coach. They just extended a head coach that Stephen Ross really likes. And believes in. The Dolphins want this to work. And believe it will work."
Senior NFL insider Adam Schefter discussed which head coaches could be on the hot seat but noted that the Titans' Brian Callahan, Dolphins' Mike McDaniel, and Bengals' Zac Taylor were among those considered safe through Week 6.

However, since Schefter's comments, the Titans have let go of Callahan, suggesting that no coach's job is entirely safe with 12 weeks remaining in the regular season.
