Bill Belichick has finally addressed swirling rumors about his departure from UNC following a string of poor results.

Bill Belichick has revealed that he is committed to his program at UNC, contrary to recent rumors that suggested he was considering leaving.

The rumors came in the wake of a string of poor results that have worried fans and parents who expected instant success from the veteran coach, given his pedigree.

Now, according to The Athletic's Brendan Marks, Belichick has called those speculations false, and he intends to ultimately make UNC a winning team.

"That's just categorically false. There's no truth to that. I'm glad I'm here," the former NFL coach said.

Belichick also revealed that, in the wake of the rumors, he released a statement last week "just for clarification."

He further noted that he was moved to do so because many of the statements he had seen about his program were "factually inaccurate."

One of the rumors circulating is that the veteran coach is running a program that promotes an "individualistic mindset," which has allegedly led to a "toxic environment" for the team.

Some of the criticisms also came from parents of players who felt Belichick was not doing a great job as a coach.

Similarly, sources close to the program described the team's disastrous start to the season as "the product of a divided locker room" and that Belichick has "a disorganized coaching staff" and struggles with communication with stakeholders.

Despite these claims, the coach revealed he has no intention of changing his coaching approach, as he believes it is "100 percent" working.

However, he admitted that he is still facing a "learning curve" for now and that he and the team have been left "a little frustrated" by the recent string of poor results.

He went on to say that they are "all in this together" and intend to keep improving and working to eventually achieve great success at UNC, just "like everywhere else I've been."

Back in August, Belichick announced that his football program would be featured in a season-long docuseries on Hulu.

The project was originally slated to be produced by NFL Films' Hard Knocks, but the deal ultimately fell through.

"This is about the UNC football program, there's obviously a lot of interest in it, and it'll stream on Hulu later this fall," the 73-year-old said at the time about the project.

But in a surprising turn of events, reports emerged that the deal with Hulu would also not be moving forward.

The Coach Claims The Hulu Documentary Is Still A 'Work In Progress'

While the reasons were not confirmed, the news that Belichick's documentary was scrapped came after UNC suffered a third loss to a Power Five team.

This led to speculation that the team's poor performance may have influenced the decision.

Interestingly, Belichick has now given fans renewed hope by revealing that the Hulu documentary is "still a work in progress."

He added, "We're working through a few logistics on it… There'll be something."

According to Marks, Belichick also had something to say about the sources who have reportedly been sharing information about his program.

"Some of those are just not credible ... It is what it is," the multiple Super-Bowl-winning coach said about the information from the insiders.

It was previously reported by WRAL's Pat Welter that the veteran coach has been trying to find the leak in his program, a detail which Belichick did not confirm or deny during his recent press interview.

"Continuing to reach out to sources about what's going on inside the Belichick program," Welter revealed in a tweet last week. "Some now are feeling reluctant to share new information as internally the Belichick staff is trying to find the leak."

At the time, the revelation led to backlash among fans who felt that the coach should focus on saving his program.

"This is what is being worried about instead of actually putting a competitive product on the field. Speaks volumes about what needs to be done," one individual commented.

"Maybe they should spend more time trying to figure out how to score touchdowns instead of finding a leak," a second user remarked.
