Napoli have identified Juanlu Sánchez as a target for the January transfer window, with Antonio Conte keen to add depth on the right flank and ease the workload on captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
The Sevilla full-back has impressed across the last two seasons in La Liga, emerging as one of Spain’s most promising young defenders.
However, the Andalusian club have made it clear they will not sell below their valuation of €20 million, having already turned down lower bids.
And now, Sportal are reporting that Napoli are once again keen on the defender but face competition from abroad for his signature.

Napoli face competition for Juanlu
While Real Betis and Villarreal have expressed interest, the strongest competition currently comes from the Premier League, where Everton are pushing for a deal.
The Toffees are in need of a long-term right-back option following Ashley Young’s departure and Seamus Coleman’s advancing age, and view Juanlu as a natural fit.
Despite being only 22, Juanlu has already made close to 100 appearances for Sevilla, registering six goals and nine assists in the 2024-25 campaign. His tactical flexibility allows him to play both as a defender and in midfield, a trait that appeals to Conte’s system at Napoli.

Rising stock after Olympic success
Juanlu’s reputation grew further during Spain’s gold-medal run at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he played a key role. Since then, interest across Europe has intensified, with several clubs monitoring his situation closely.
For now, Sevilla remain unmoved – any club hoping to secure his signature will have to meet their €20m asking price in full.
