Peretz frustrated at HSV loan: "It was actually clear that I would play"

Bayern Munich loanee Daniel Peretz has yet to make a competitive appearance in Hamburg, and it appears his patience is growing thin.

With Daniel Heuer Fernandes remaining as the clear number one, a winter transfer, would only be possible with HSV's consent.

“It's obvious that I'm disappointed I'm not playing in Hamburg. I didn't expect that I wouldn't be playing. It was actually clear that I would play.

"I'm fighting the situation. Maybe there will be a change in January, because I really want to play,” Peretz told Israeli TV channel Sport5.

However, the likelihood of HSV letting go of the 25-year-old is unlikely, albeit Stefan Kuntz expressed sympathy for Peretz's situation:

“I can understand Daniel's disappointment. Especially after Israel's 5-0 defeat in Norway in the World Cup qualifiers. We are extremely satisfied with his performances for us.

“He's a great person, a superb goalkeeper who always elevates our training performance to Bundesliga level,” said the HSV sporting director.

Bayern will be frustrated too, as their sporting director Christopher Freund was quoted saying he hoped Peretz would gain “a lot of Bundesliga minutes” when signing for the Hanseatic club.
