Joel Klatt ranks his top 10 college football teams after Week 7

Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt released his top 10 college football rankings on after an intense Week 7

Fox Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt released his top 10 rankings after Week 7, which featured another week of incredible upsets, Klatt had to shuffle his rankings a lot from last week.

The Georgia Bulldogs shift up one spot to No. 8. Joel Klatt praised the consistency and toughness of the Bulldogs, and he gave a key statistic to prove Georgia's resilience in these matchups.

"In the last three seasons in the SEC conference, when a team falls down by two scores, Georgia is 5-3," Klatt said. "The rest of the conference has won 13% of those games."

Georgia came back down 10-0 against Auburn to win the game 20-10. It shows an incredible amount of resilient for Georgia to come back from a disastrous first half on the road in a hostile environement and come away with a victory.

There were a few major fallers from this week. The Bulldogs' next opponent, the Ole Miss Rebels, shrink to the No. 10 team. Klatt was unimpressed with Ole Miss's narrow win at home against Washington State. In a subtle way, he may be indicating that he's planning to picking Georgia to beat Ole Miss this week.

The Oregon Ducks also slide down to the No. 7 slot. Oredon faced the Indiana Hoosiers at home, but a poor Dante Moore performance and a few questionable decisions led to the Ducks losing 30-20 to Indiana. The Hoosiers are rewarded with national recognition, including from Joel Klatt, who ranks them as the No. 2 team in the nation.

The Oklahoma Sooners dropped completely from Klatt's rankings after losing 26-6 to the Texas Longhorns in the Red River Rivalry. Starting quarterback John Mateer somehow worked his way back from a hand injury to play that game, but it was clear that he was not 100 percent entering the game.

Notre Dame replaces the Sooners as No. 9 in the rankings. The Fighting Irish are working their way back up from an 0-2 record. Both losses were to top 10 opponents (Miami, Texas A&M) by one score. Ever since the first two games, Notre Dame has a +109 point differential, and if they can win out, then they will compete for a playoff spot once again.
