Real Madrid, for long, have boasted of one of the best youth scouting teams in Europe and have made it a norm to sign explosive young talent before they blow up on the transfer market.

Vinicius Jr, Brahim Diaz, Rodrygo Goes, Endrick and Arda Guler are just a few of the numerous examples from the current Real Madrid squad who arrived in a similar fashion and Juni Calafat and Co. just keep going with no rest.

Now, as relayed by Defensa Central, Real Madrid have identified a new young target to deepen the squad at left-back – a position that they already seemingly have great depth at.

The Bundesliga target

22-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt star Nathaniel Brown is the player in question who is admired by Real Madrid as a possible new signing at left-back.

Considering that Alvaro Carreras arrived just last summer to reinforce the same position, it is surprising that Los Blancos are already eyeing a new name.

The reason, however, is that both Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy stare at uncertain futures and Brown could come in as the backup left-back if the duo leave.

The youngster has a profile significantly different from the attack-oriented Carreras and is thus seen as one who can serve as the perfect complement to the Spaniard. The hurdles in his signing, however, are the competition and his contractual situation.

Brown’s deal in Germany runs until 2030 and that hands his employers the upper hand in any negotiations.

That, coupled with the fact that his market value stands at €22 million means that his signing will prove to be a pricey affair.

Further, clubs including Manchester City, Arsenal, Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan have their eyes on the player and Real Madrid must move fast if they are indeed planning on snapping him up.

As it stands, however, their idea is to monitor the player’s growth for a few months before jumping to a decision.
