Injury update on running back DeSean Bishop for the Tennessee-Alabama football game in Week 8.
No. 11 Tennessee (5-1, 1-1 SEC) is preparing for a top-15 football game at No. 6 Alabama (5-1, 3-0 SEC) on Saturday.
Kickoff between the Vols and Crimson Tide is slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT (ABC) at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Tennessee enters the Third Saturday in October after a, 34-31, win over Arkansas at Neyland Stadium in Week 7. Redshirt sophomore running back DeSean Bishop totaled 146 rushing yards and one touchdown on 14 attempts.
He exited the game during the third quarter after an apparent leg injury.
Ahead of playing Alabama in Week 8, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel discussed Bishop's status for Saturday's contest.
"I feel like DeSean will be ready to go in this one, but we trust all those guys," Heupel said.
The 5-foot-10, 208-pound running back has totaled 481 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 63 attempts in six games this season for the Vols.
