According to the Massey Ratings, the No. 1 team in high school football continues to reside out of Oklahoma. The Bixby Spartans remain the country’s best team after a 64-7 dismantling of North. What other Oklahoma high school football teams make the cut when it comes to the best out of the Sooner State?
The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
Here is the latest Oklahoma high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Oct. 14.
1. Bixby Spartans
Bixby (5-0) plays some of the most unorthodox style of football you’ll see on the high school football level and led 38-35 against Jenks, at halftime. The Spartans were able to score 28 unanswered points to come away 66-35 winners to claim being Oklahoma high school football’s No. 1 team.
The Spartans opened the 2025 Oklahoma high school football season with a 49-21 whooping of Owasso. It was just last year when the Spartans notched a one-point victory over the Rams to capture their tenth Class 6A-I state championship.
The Spartans followed the win up over Owasso with a 56-7 rout of Charles Page the following week and have won five straight to start the season. Bixby has one of the top offensive line units in the state, thanks to four-star prospect Kaeden Penny (Oklahoma commit) and Jacob Hamlin. Next up for Bixby is a meeting with winless Enid.
2. Jenks Trojans
The Trojans (5-1) avenged last season’s 30-27 loss to Owasso in the Class 6A-I state semifinals in Week 2 when they defeated the Rams, 31-21. Could this be the season Jenks reaches the state championship in 6A-I?
Jones this past Friday night against the Broncos set numerous school records, which included the single game rushing yards (445), touchdowns in a contest (eight scores), all-purpose yards in a game (549) and touchdowns for a high school career at Jenks (67).
The Trojans last week defeated Mustang, 55-48, in a offensive explosion. Jenks goes on the road this week to take on Deer Creek.
3. Owasso Rams
Owasso (4-3) started the regular season off with three straight losses before beginning to bounce back and now currently riding a 2-game win streak. The Rams have notched back-to-back victories over Union and Westmoore, respectively.
The Rams feature one of the top offenses in the state, led by quarterback Drew Frankenfield, wide receiver Takhari Bethel, defensive lineman Tajh Overton, safety Carter Langenderfer, offensive lineman Brooks Barron, and wideout Julius Wilson.
Owasso looks to win three straight when they take on No. 5 Memorial this week.
4. Lincoln Christian School Bulldogs
Coming in at the fourth spot in this week’s rankings is the undefeated Lincoln Christian School (6-0) Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs are coming off a pair of blowout victories and have out-scored their last two opponents by a combined score of 125-0. Quarterback Carter Ricke has been very efficient this season, completing 71 of 99 passes for 1,144 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Lincoln Christian School returns home this week to take on Muldrow.
5. Memorial Bulldogs
Cracking the Top 5 are the Memorial Bulldogs (5-1) which are coming off a dominating 37-13 win over Yukon last week.
Memorial’s offense has been one of the more explosive units in the state, led by the play of senior quarterback Dawson Beaulieu, who has completed 73 of 113 passes for 1,113 yards, 15 touchdowns and one mere interception.
Next up for Memorial is a huge matchup against No. 3 Owasso this Friday night.
