The 2026 World Cup, the biggest event in football, is fast approaching. Excitement is building as we edge closer to June 11, 2026, the date the World Cup kicks off, which will, for the first time ever, feature 48 teams.
As of today, 28 teams have already secured their spots in the final tournament. Among them, there are eight Asian teams, seven South American teams, nine African teams, and just one European team. The United States, Canada, and Mexico are also automatically qualified as host nations.

World Cup 2026: List of qualified teams
The teams that have already qualified are:
Morocco, Brazil, Ivory Coast, South Korea, Argentina, Tunisia, Jordan, Cape Verde, England, Japan, Uruguay, Ghana, Mexico, Iran, United States, Australia, Algeria, Paraguay, Ecuador, Egypt, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Qatar, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Senegal, and Canada.
The World Cup draw will take place on December 5, 2025, in the United States, at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
