England have booked their ticket to the 2026 World Cup in style, smashing Latvia 5-0 in Riga on Tuesday night and, inevitably, it was Harry Kane leading the charge.

The Bayern Munich forward bagged a brace, taking his international tally to an astonishing 76 goals in 110 caps.

At 32 years old, Kane continues to produce remarkable numbers. Across all competitions this season, he has scored 21 goals in 13 games for club and country - including 18 in 10 matches for Bayern during the 2025–26 campaign.

But Tuesday’s double wasn’t just another couple for the collection. It took Kane clear at the top of a very exclusive England list. He’s now scored more than once in 13 separate matches for the Three Lions - more than any other player in the nation’s history.

He was previously tied with the legendary Bolton forward Nat Lofthouse, the “Lion of Vienna”, who managed at least two goals in 12 games back in the 1950s. Lofthouse’s strike rate was staggering in its own right - 30 goals in 33 caps, with 36% of his England appearances featuring a brace.

Behind them sit two more household names: Wayne Rooney and Gary Lineker, both of whom hit doubles in 10 different internationals.
