The Cincinnati Bengals are a team that many other organizations around the NFL are keeping a close eye on as the season progresses. The Bengals are 2-4, and could be sellers at the trade deadline if things continue to unravel.
However, the Bengals have already made a trade, and it was to add a new starting quarterback in Joe Flacco. While it didn't cost the Bengals much, it's a sign that the Bengals are still trying to win. Despite that, the Bengals have seen their players in trade rumors.
One of those players is Trey Hendrickson, who's been the subject of various trade rumors. However, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Bengals have no plans to move on from Hendrickson, as they are still "all-in" this season.
Bengals 'all-in,' don't plan to trade Trey Hendrickson
"But I'm also told Cincinnati has no plans to trade Hendrickson at this time," Fowler reports. "Despite a 2-4 record, Cincinnati plans to remain all-in on this season, and the offense showed signs of life with Joe Flacco on Sunday in Green Bay."
Fowler wasn't the only ESPN reporter to report this belief from the Bengals. Dan Graziano also reported that "I've been told the same thing on Hendrickson -- that the Bengals don't intend to trade him."
The 30-year-old Bengals pass rusher signed a one-year revised contract for $29 million ahead of the 2025 NFL season after drawn-out negotiations.
After an All-Pro 2024 season, when he led the NFL in sacks with 17.5, there isn't much reason for the Bengals to move on from Hendrickson if they believe they are still all-in for the 2025 NFL season.

Of course, at 2-4, things could quickly devolve to a point where the Bengals have to strongly consider moving Hendrickson. With the trade deadline coming after Week 9, there's a scenario where the Bengals enter the bye week and the trade deadline, with a 2-7 record.
If that scenario happens, then a Hendrickson trade might be more on the table, as Cincinnati would be well outside the playoff hunt, and with Joe Burrow out for a while longer, recouping some value for Hendrickson would make sense.
For now, the Bengals aren't planning to trade their Pro Bowl pass rusher. But things can change over the course of the next few weeks. But Cincinnati still is "all-in" this season, and Hendrickson is part of those plans. Barring a continued collapse, Hendrickson is likely to stay in Cincinnati for the rest of the 2025 NFL season.
