Touted 3-star 2027 WR Aden Starling tells Rivals that he has decommitted from Houston.

The local playmaker from Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek seeks a refreshed perspective on his recruitment as SEC programs jump to the forefront more than midway through his junior season.

The Rivals Industry Ranking No. 72 WR is focused on five programs moving forward: Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas, Missouri and South Carolina.

“I’m a winner and I love to compete and play with and against the best, so I felt like I needed to be at a place where I could really do that,” Starling told Rivals.

Starling committed in-state to the Cougars around this time last season as an underclassman at Shadow Creek, a high school football program in the Houston metro area that has produced more than a few Houston standouts over the last few years.

This summer, Starling collected offers after camping at many of the aforementioned SEC programs, including Texas in June.
