Sensational forward has Liverpool 'firmly in his plans'

A lot of the credit has to go to Jurgen Klopp. He transformed Liverpool and actually made it an attractive destination. Obviously, stars like Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have become idols in their own right as well.

They are players everyone looks up to and aspires to be and they have helped to make the club and even more attractive place to be as the younger generation grew up wanting to follow in their footsteps.

This is why we are seeing a shift and a change in how people perceive Liverpool. It's no longer a club players are reticent to join, it's a club they dream about.

This is the case for Jacob Ambaek who plays for Brondby in Denmark and who has been highlighted by The Guardian as one of the top 60 young players to watch in 2025.

In that report, The Guardian highlights Ambaek's ability as a forward and how prolific he has been at youth level where he averaged more than a goal per game.

The most interesting part is the way they discuss what his aspirations are for the future. According to The Guardian Ambaek's idol is Cristiano Ronaldo, and 'he dreams of playing for Real Madrid, but Liverpool are also firmly in his plans.'

It's an interesting statement. The latter is definitely more appealing than the former. Ultimately it just proves that Liverpool are now up there with the likes of Real Madrid as teams young players dream about signing for.

Ambaek is still just getting started in his career. He's clearly a sensational talent but he's only 17-years-old and just breaking into first-team football.

He needs time to reach the heights he dreams of reaching. Although one interesting thing to note is that Liverpool have signed players from Brondby in the past.

The last one being Daniel Agger, who ended up becoming a key player for the Reds for several years.
