Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is still not on track to return to the field after a two-game absence, as the star tight end was not taking part in practice on Wednesday.

As we continue to wait on the return of Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers, things aren't looking good early on in Week 7.
Bowers has been absent the past two weeks due to a PCL injury and bone bruise in his knee. The star tight end suffered the injury in Week 1 and the Raiders decided to sit him out to get him right after he was operating at less than 100%
Last week, head coach Pete Carroll hinted that the Raiders could keep Bowers out past the Week 8 bye to give him more time to get right.
“I’m hopeful, but we’re looking after him,” Carroll said of Bowers. “There’s a big bye coming up and all that kinda stuff. An extra week, a couple of weeks you’d get, before you’d have to come back. I’m optimistic always, but that doesn’t mean we’re getting him back. You look at the long haul of it, it might be best to just guarantee that he’s full speed and back. So we’ll see how we handle that.”
On Wednesday, it looks like they're on track to sit Bowers again, as ESPN's Ryan McFadden reported that Bowers is not practicing to start the week, which keeps him on track to miss another game.
We had a good idea that Bowers was going to miss this week's game after NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that Bowers is unlikely to play in Week 7.
Bowers looked to be on track for yet another monster season after he posted 103 yards in Week 1. However, his production slipped considerably in the next three games, which was the first sign he wasn't totally healthy.
The Raiders have to protect their best offensive player, so this is the right approach to take with Bowers, who had a historic rookie campaign and showed all of the hype was valid.
Unfortunately, it looks like we might have to wait another two weeks to see the immensely talented tight end get back on the field.
If Bowers sits, Michael Mayer will be in line for a starting role once again. Mayer returned from a concussion last week and promptly ripped off five catches for 50 yards and one touchdown in a 20-10 win over the Tennessee Titans.
