Banana Ball is returning to two New York cities in 2026 as the fan-favorite teams of the Banana Ball Championship League announced their 50-game season on Oct. 9.
Two of those games will played at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx and another two will be played at NBT Bank Stadium in Syracuse.
Here's what to know.
What is Banana Ball?
Started by the Savannah Bananas in 2015 in Savannah, Georgia, the high-energy team captured national attention by early 2016 with its fast-paced play, fan participation and moonwalking, back-flipping, stilt-wearing players.
The game itself consists of 11 unique rules, including no walks or bunts allowed, and if a fan catches a foul ball, it's considered an out.
Since then, three other teams have been added to the league — the Party Animals, Texas Tailgaters and Firefighters — and play in stadiums all across the country.
What's new this Banana Ball season?
The Banana Ball Championship League's 50-game 2026 regular season — titled the Banana Ball World Tour — kicks off April 16, 2026, in Savannah after their Banana Ball Open preseason from Feb. 26 to April 12, 2026, USA TODAY reported.
This year, the top three teams will compete against the winner of the Banana Ball Open to see who moves on to the first-ever Banana Bowl on Oct. 10, 2026.
The league is also adding two more teams to their existing four-team lineup this year — the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Indianapolis Clowns.
When can you see Banana Ball in New York in 2026?
Four Banana Ball teams will be playing four games in two different New York baseball stadiums next year. Here's the schedule:
- Yankee Stadium: Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, 2026, Savannah Bananas vs. Party Animals
- NBT Bank Stadium: Friday, Sept. 11, and Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, Firefighters vs Texas Tailgaters

How to get Savannah Bananas tickets
The team uses a lottery system for tickets. Fans can enter the lottery online now through Oct. 31. The date you join does not affect chances of being drawn.
Fans who enter the lottery are put into a random drawing held before the game, and if drawn, can purchase official tickets.
Some third-party platforms like StubHub and Ticketmaster may also have tickets available, but the team cautions fans that tickets sold on resale sites are often fraudulent.
