Caitlin Clark will return to LPGA event hosted by Annika Sorenstam in November

The pro-am is open to the public and tickets are available for $25.

WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark will return to the LPGA next month. The Gainbridge ambassador has committed to once again participate in the Wednesday pro-am at The Annika on Nov. 12 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, officials announced. The pro-am is open to the public and tickets are available for $25.

“I had an amazing time at The Annika last November and participating in the Pro-Am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game,” Clark said in a statement. “I’m honored to be an ambassador for a company in Gainbridge that is so committed to elevating women’s sports. I can’t wait to return to Tampa in November to play in the Pro-Am with the best women golfers in the world.”

The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican will be held Nov. 13-16 and feature a $3.25 million purse, among the highest on tour.

Caitlin Clark, professional basketball player, plays her shot from the third tee as a gallery of fans look on during a Pro-Am prior to The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican 2024 at Pelican Golf Club on November 13, 2024 in Belleair, Florida.

Nelly Korda, currently out with an injury, plans to return to the tour in time to defend her title at the The Annika, an event she has won three times. The Annika's early commitment list also includes 2024 runner-up Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson, 2023 champion Lilia Vu and Brooke Henderson.

Clark's presence last year transformed what’s normally a sleepy pro-am day into a must-see event. As Clark made her way to the rope line behind the 18th green to sign autographs, the frenzied crowd swarmed to get to her, holding out posters, jerseys and basketballs.

The gallery following Clark's foursome on Wednesday was larger than what many final-round groups attract on the LPGA.

“She added such a great dynamic to our event, and her passion for golf and competitiveness were fun to witness firsthand," said Sorenstam in the release. "I look forward to having her back and continuing to introduce the great game of golf to the next generation.”

Clark suffered a right groin injury during a game against the Connecticut Sun on July 15 followed by a bone bruise during the recovery process. The Fever announced on Sept. 4 that she was out for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Bad shots during last year's pro-am round did nothing to spoil Clark's day. She wore a smile and engaged regularly with fans outside the ropes. Sorenstam called her "super mature" for a young twentysomething. Korda said playing nine holes with her felt like two friends hanging out.

“Bringing Caitlin, Nelly and Annika together last year was a great day for women’s sports,” said Mike Nichols, Group 1001 Chief of Sponsorship Strategy and Activation. “We look forward to her return this year and continuing our work with our brand ambassadors and partners to elevate women’s sports.”
