With the international break coming to an end, Barcelona are set to resume their campaign this weekend as they take on Girona.
However, coach Hansi Flick is dealing with an apparent injury crisis heading into this game, with the likes of Dani Olmo, Robert Lewandowski, and Ferran Torres joining the list of absentees during the break.
This has forced Flick to call up a host of youth players to training ahead of the Girona game; some of them may even end up featuring this weekend.
Three youngsters train with first-team
As revealed by the photos shared by Barcelona’s social media team, at least three youth players have been seen training with the first team.
That includes Dro, who could be poised for an appearance against Girona this weekend, especially with key creative players still out injured.
Unless Flick decides to deploy Pedri in an attacking midfield role, Dro could even be in contention to start against Girona.

Toni Fernandez also trained with the first team, which is hardly surprising as Barcelona have a dearth of attackers out wide heading into this Catalan derby.
Another player who trained with the first team ahead of the Girona clash is right-back Xavi Espart. However, the youngster could be there just to fill the numbers, as Barcelona do have both Jules Kounde and Eric Garcia available to operate as a right-back this weekend.
But the presence of so many Barça Atletic individuals does make it clear that Flick will rely heavily on La Masia to deal with the ongoing injury crisis.
At the same time, this could be an excellent opportunity for these youngsters as well, with Dro, in particular, gearing up for potentially the most important week of his career so far.
