Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson not expected to play vs Steelers, per reports

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson is not expected to play in the team's NFL Week 7 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football, according to reports from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Hendrickson is listed on the team's injury report as questionable with a hip injury.

Hendrickson, the 2024 NFL sacks leaderwas injured during the second quarter of the team's NFL Week 6 loss to Green Bay at Lambeau Field.

Hendrickson did not practice with the team Tuesday night.

Earlier, ESPN's Bill Barnwell proposed that the Bengals trade Hendrickson to the Detroit Lions.

Fowler reported earlier that the Bengals have no plans to trade Hendrickson at this time, despite interest from the San Francisco 49ers.

Former Bengals quarterback Boomer Esiason told Kay Adams earlier in the week that he thinks the Bengals should trade Hendrickson if he's healthy.

The Packers reportedly pursued a trade for Hendrickson before acquiring Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys for two first-round picks and defensive lineman Kenny Clark.
