Here are storylines that will unfold this week ahead of the Jets facing the Panthers in Week 7.
The New York Jets are turning to the next page of their 2025 NFL season.
In Week 7, the Jets (0-6) will head back home to face the Carolina Panthers (3-3) at MetLife Stadium.
There were a lot of changes that went down in New York this offseason. We're starting to see the results of those decisions and the outcome against the Panthers will reveal even more.
But before we even get to kickoff, there will be a lot of Jets-related discussions and conversations to be had throughout the coming days.
With that, here are five storylines to watch for ahead of the Jets' against the Panthers in Week 7:
Still no wins...
We say it week in and week out, until the Jets get a win under head coach Aaron Glenn in 2025? It's going to continue as a storyline. When will Glenn's first arrive? Will it ever?
Backing Justin
If it does eventually happen, a win with Glenn as the Jets' head coach, it will likely be with Justin Fields under center (pending health). Glenn backed Fields in a bold way this past week when asked if he could make a change to backup QB Tyrod Taylor.
Does that support help Fields or add pressure?
Panthers look more difficult all of a sudden...
This game had been circled on the schedule for a couple of weeks. The Panthers did not have the most threatening roster on paper... back then.
A potential win for the Jets? Not so fast. Carolina has won three out of their last four games and are rolling.
Breece Hall's comments
Breece Hall has made some feelings know on social media.
The Jets' last loss is what it took for running back Breece Hall to comment about his unhappy feelings... it appears. Taking to his social media account on Instagram, Hall wrote "Free 20" in a post.
The 2025 NFL trade deadline is set for Nov. 4. Bare minimum, if things don't improve in New York, Hall is a name to watch.
Can the defense continue improvement?
To roundup on a positive note: The Jets defense played well last week. The Broncos won the game, but New York's defense held them to only 13 points and the unit put up points of their own.
If there is any hope for the Jets? Defensively, they must perform well again and make turnovers happen against Young.
