It's been over a week since veteran NFL quarterback Joe Flacco arrived in Cincinnati after the Cleveland Browns traded him to the AFC North opponent in an unexpected move. The 40-year-old quarterback has bounced around the league, playing for seven different teams in his 17-year tenure, but one thing has remained the same: his love for his wife, Dana.
The two were high school sweethearts before getting hitched in 2011. She's been there for all of Flacco's grand NFL moments and, most recently, helped test his Bengals playbook knowledge.

Dana Flacco is a New Jersey native and the wife of NFL veteran quarterback Joe Flacco. The 40-year-old quarterback recently joined the Cincinnati Bengals roster after Joe Burrow suffered a Grade 3 turf toe injury earlier this season.
She and Flacco are high school sweethearts
Their relationship dates back to their childhood, according to People.
They reportedly met while attending the same high school, Audubon High School, in their hometown of Audubon, New Jersey. Dana and Joe dated throughout college before marrying on June 25, 2011.
They took wedding photos at their former high school
Following their wedding ceremony, the couple took their wedding party around their hometown on a trolley to take pictures in meaningful places, including where they first met.
Images shared by their photographer, per the New York Post, show the Flaccos outside their old high school with Joe's groomsmen in a pretend football formation.
Dana helped Joe with his unexpected trade to the Bengals
During an Oct. 10 press conference, two days after his first practice with the Cincinnati Bengals, Flacco shared how impressed he was by her play-calling rhythm when she quizzed him on the Bengals' playbook ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
"I've never had my wife read stuff out to me, but the other night, sitting in the hotel, I did have her read some of the base game plan to me, and have me repeat it back to her. She didn't do bad!" he said.

They share five children
Dana and Joe share five children: four sons and one daughter.
Their two oldest sons are just 15 months apart. Stephen, the oldest, was born in June 2012, while their secondborn, a son named Daniel, entered the world in September 2013 (seven months after Joe won the Super Bowl with the Ravens).
In January 2015, the couple welcomed their third son, Francis. The couple then found out they were expecting a baby girl, Evelyn, whom Dana gave birth to in September 2016. Their fifth child, Thomas, was born in April 2018.
"They [the kids] are a really cool age, they want to hang out, they want to throw the ball around. My son brought a ball to the hotel," Joe said in a 2023 press conference, per People. "There's definitely things like that that you miss. But, listen, there’s no better profession than the NFL to spend time with your kids and have them be a part of it."
