Fans need a program to know how to watch the Cleveland Cavs in the upcoming season, primarily because the team’s popularity and media rights deals with new partners NBC/Peacock and Amazon, as well as old ones ABC/ESPN, has dictated change.
For most coverage locally, FanDuel Sports Network will be the place to watch either through assorted cable providers, including Spectrum, or through streaming via the FanDuel Sports Network app where games will also be available for purchase on an individual basis.
Fans can also subscribe to FanDuel via amazon.com/channels.
Familiar faces return for game coverage with play-by-play announcer John Michael and lead analyst Brad Daugherty.
Pre-game Cavs NBA coverage will include former ESPN host Stan Verrett
“FanDuel Sports Network Countdown Live” will debut Oct. 27, airing one hour before “Cavaliers Live” and will be hosted by Stan Verrett, a longtime ESPN host, who will provide insight into matchups, warmups and breaking news.
“Cavaliers Live,” the pregame show, will air 30 minutes prior to tipoff and offer highlights, interviews and analysis with Cayleigh Griffin hosting pre- and post-game shows. Cavs sideline reporter Serena Winters will add on-road hosting duties for the pre-game show to her duties.
Yes, Mr. Cavalier, Austin Carr will be on hand as well. Additionally, former Cavalier Iman Shumpert will appear on select pre-and-post-game shows.
Rock Entertainment Sports Network will simulcast five Cavaliers games
The Rock Entertainment Sports Network (RESN) will simulcast five Cavs games:
- Tuesday, Nov. 5 vs. Philadelphia 76ers
- Tuesday, Jan. 6 vs. Indiana Pacers
- Tuesday, March 3 vs. Detroit Pistons
- Sunday, March 15 vs. Dallas Mavericks
- Wednesday, April 8 vs. Atlanta Hawks
Rock Sports will have original Cavaliers programming
Rock Sports will have several Cavs programs that will air on their network at watchrocksports.com as well as being available on demand:
- “The Chase Down,” hosted by Justin Rowan and Carter Rodriguez will offer game-by-game breakdowns as well as news updates.
- “The Road Back” follows the team on and off the road throughout the season providing a behind-the-scenes look.
- “Cavaliers Courtside,” hosted by Cavs television analyst John Michael will interview players, coaches and Cavs legends with new episodes every other week.
- “The Legends Table,” Rafa Hernandez-Brito and Cavs legend Campy Russell will visit the team’s past and present in this show.
And, yes, there are 29 nationally televised games for the Cavaliers
