SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The No. 5-ranked Junction Eagles have learned a lot about having patience, with a 21-day gap in between their non-district finale and Friday’s District 14-2A Division II matchup on the road against Brackettville.

After beating Falls City to wrap up non-district play on Sept. 26, Junction had an open date the following week. And then Center Point had to forfeit last week’s district opener for the Eagles due to a limited number of players.

Junction is 6-0 overall and 1-0 in district, and Brackettville is 4-3 and 3-0.

Click on the video above to see what Junction head coach Scott Freeman had to say about the Eagles’ three-week gap in the schedule before Friday’s matchup with Brackettville.

Even during two-a-days in the summer, Junction didn’t have to wait this long to hit the field.
