The San Francisco 49ers are looking to get back to winning after losing their second game of the season to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6.

Injuries have been the main topic of the season; defensive leaders Nick Bosa and Fred Warner won't be back for the 2025 season, and the 49ers have been without Brock Purdy, George Kittle, and Ricky Pearsall for a large part of the season so far.

Fortunately for San Francisco, George Kittle is expected to return for Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons. However, Ricky Pearsall could miss his third straight game.

ESPN's Nick Wagoner reported the latest on the wide receiver situation for the 49ers, saying that Jauan Jennings (ribs, shoulder, ankle), Skyy Moore (ankle), and Jordan Watkins (calf) are all participating in practice, but Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Marquez Valdez-Scantling (calf) weren't participating.

Injuries to the wide receiver room have gone on all season. San Francisco is still waiting for the green light on Brandon Aiyuk, who tore his ACL during the 2024 regular season.

Options have been limited for head coach Kyle Shanahan, and it seems that the same problem will linger into the upcoming game.

In the four games Pearsall has been able to suit up in, he has 20 receptions for 327 yards, but has yet to get his first touchdown of the season.
