Falcons SNF computer picks
Michael Penix Under 1.5 passing TDs (-140)
Projection: 1.26 passing TDs
The Atlanta Falcons are second in the league in total offense (318.8 yards per game), but have had issues in the red zone. Atlanta has scored a TD just 43.7 percent of the time they’ve reached the red area, which is 27th in the NFL.
I don’t like Penix to throw two or more TDs here, and the computer agrees.
Bijan Robinson Under 79.5 rushing yards (-115)
Projection: 72.2 rushing yards
This number is inflated because of Bijan Robinson’s 170-yard rushing effort last week against Buffalo. A sizable chunk of that number came on Robinson’s home run TD run of 81 yards.
You can’t bank on a run of over 25 yards for Robinson each week. In fact, prior to Monday night, Robinson’s long for the season was a 25-yard scamper. He has also rushed for less than 79.5 yards in three-of-five games so far this season.
My computer pal and I agree that this number is too high and will take the Under.
Alternate-total bet
Robinson 40+ receiving yards (+107): Robinson's receiving yardage is much more intriguing to me. He's gone for Over 40 yards receiving in 3-of-5 games so far and has popped for over 100 in two of them.
Drake London Over 75.5 receiving yards (-115)
Projection: 79.5 receiving yards
Drake London is heating up as we inch closer to Halloween, as he has posted back-to-back 100-plus yard receiving games.
San Francisco faced a similar high-powered offense in the LA Rams two weeks ago, and both Davante Adams and Puca Nacua went for over 80 yards receiving.
The computer and I both like London to eclipse 75.5 yards receiving.
Kyle Pitts Over 38.5 receiving yards (-115)
Projection: 46.5 receiving yards
Kyle Pitts is averaging 44.6 receiving yards per game so far this season. The Falcons TE is now facing a 49ers defense that just lost Fred Warner for the foreseeable future. The San Fran D has been average at best against tight ends so far this season. In the past three weeks, we saw Cade Otton catch five balls for 51 yards, and Brenton Strange catch six passes for 45 yards.
The computer and I both like Pitts to go Over 38.5 receiving yards.

Mac Jones Over 33.5 passing attempts (-130)
Projection: 34.6 passing attempts
Kyle Shanahan has an unwavering belief in Mac Jones' ability, as he's allowed the QB to throw the ball 39 times or more in each of his four games played this season. Earlier this month against the Rams, Jones chucked it a whopping 49 times.
This seems like an easy number for Jones to hit.
I again agree with my computer pal.
Alternate-total bet
Jones 40+ pass attempts (+239): Great number if you think Shanahan will throw caution to the wind and again allow Jones to throw it at will.
Christian McCaffrey Over 60.6 rushing yards (-115)
Projection: 70.4 rushing yards
Atlanta’s pass defense ranks No. 1 in the NFL, but its run defense is susceptible. In recent weeks, we’ve seen James Cook take 17 carries for 87 yards rushing against the Atlanta defense, and Chuba Hubbard had 17 carries for 73 yards against the Falcons D. The Commanders RB duo of Chris Rodriguez and Jacory Croskey-Merritt combined for 106 yards rushing against the Falcons defense.
Christian McCaffrey has surprisingly only totaled over 60 yards once in a single game this season (Week 1 against Seattle when he dashed for 69 yards). But I think he gets his second 60-plus yard game this week.

Kendrick Bourne Under 4.5 receptions made (-146)
Projection: 4.1 receptions made
Kendrick Bourne was Mac Jones' favorite target in New England for a short period, and that chemistry has carried over - and then some - in San Francisco. The 30-year-old receiver has back-to-back 142-yard receiving days and has a total of 15 receptions over the past two games.
This is tied to the Jones passing attempts prop above. If Jones is throwing it that many times, you can bet a large chunk of those tosses will go Bourne's way.
I'll go against my computer friend here and take the Over.
George Kittle Under 53.5 receiving yards (-118)
Projection: 45.2 rushing yards
The Atlanta defense has made life brutal for tight ends this season. Here are the tight end receiving numbers for Atlanta opponents in the past three games.
- Bills: 1-for-9
- Commanders: 2-for-21
- Panthers: 4-for-27
George Kittle has only played in one game so far this season - opening day against Seattle, when he suffered a hamstring injury.
Reaching 53.5 yards is a tall order for a rusty tight end against an elite pass defense.
