Matt Hardy has teased signing a new contract with TNA Wrestling.
The Hardy Boyz re-signed with TNA Wrestling in November 2024, and a recent report from Fightful Select stated that it was just a one-year deal. Sources from the company had noted that unless Matt and Jeff Hardy had quietly signed an extension, their contracts would expire next month.
Amid the speculations, Matt Hardy has now opened up about the situation on his The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, and teased that he and his brother Jeff Hardy could have already signed new contracts with TNA Wrestling.
“Well, we may have re-signed already, who knows?”
When host Jon Alba jokingly speculated about the length of the contract by asking if they had signed a 10-year deal, Matt Hardy gave a sarcastic reply stating that he wouldn’t sign such a deal unless he was offered more money.
“I don’t know if I would say 10 years. I don’t know if you can talk me into that unless you’re giving me that Saudi Arabia money.”
Matt Hardy Credited Bound For Glory Match With The Dudleys For TNA Setting Attendance Record
Matt Hardy stated that The Hardy Boyz’s match against The Dudleys at Bound for Glory 2025 was the reason behind the show setting a new attendance record.
Matt and Jeff Hardy defeated Bully Ray and Devon in a brutal Tables Match at TNA Bound for Glory 2025 to retain both the TNA and NXT Tag Team Championships. The contest also marked the end of The Dudleys’ in-ring careers.
Taking to X/Twitter, Matt Hardy shared his thoughts on the historic match and stated that it was the reason behind TNA setting a new all-time North American attendance record.
“Not to be disrespectful towards the rest of the amazing roster on this show, but this is the match that set the new attendance record. People cared about the Hardy/Dudley rivalry. Doesn’t matter what internet nobodies say on social media, The Hardy Boyz sell tickets in 2025.”
“The Hardys/Dudleys match at BFG 2025 reminds me of The Final Deletion from 2016. It’s initially gonna be polarizing & people will either love it or hate it. As time passes, people will look back at this match as a masterclass performed by four 30 year+ grizzled vets. This match was historic & special. I’m proud of myself, @JEFFHARDYBRAND, @bullyray5150 & @TestifyDVon for making magic together one final time. Thank you for the opportunity & platform, @ThisIsTNA.”
