Pennsylvania high school football team sets record for points scored

A Pennsylvania high school football program that’s been around over a century set a new school record for points scored in a single game on Friday night.

McKeesport defeated Indiana Area, 74-6, setting a new program mark, according to the team’s X account. The Tigers improved to 6-3 on the season after the blowout victory over the Little Indians.

The Tigers over the last four weeks have been scoring in bunches as they have averaged 51 points per game during that span.

McKeesport doesn’t lack for talent on this year’s team as the Tigers feature multiple Division I prospects on the team, including junior five-star running back Kemon Spell and four-star wide receiver Javien Robinson. Spell in last week’s win versus Mars Area, rushed for 238 yards on 17 carries and scored four touchdowns.

The next time McKeesport takes the field is next week when they take on winless Knoch to close out the regular season.
