Tanzanian giants Young Africans have made a U-turn on Romain Folz after failing to agree a deal to appoint Madagascar national team head coach Romuald Rakotondrabe.
As previously reported by Foot Africa, Yanga had taken a decision to sack the Frenchman after just three months into the job.
It's understood the club's hierarchy and the supporters are not impressed with the team's style of play under Folz.
However, the former Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach looks set to remain in charge, with the club having bolstered his technical team with former Kaizer Chiefs captain Patrick Mabedi.
This comes after a deal to appoint Rakotondrabe hit a snag due to disagreements on backroom personnel.
Foot Africa has it on good authority the Madagascar-born mentor touched down in Tanzania to finalize a deal but it collapsed at the final stages.
A well-placed source close to the matter told this publication that Rakotondrabe's assistant does not have the required CAF B License which saw talks collapse.
Furthermore, the 60-year-old tactician rebuffed Yanga's proposal to work with a local assistant, vouching for his trusted right hand man despite lack of qualifications.
