Enzo Maresca won’t be on the touchline today because of his ban after a red card, but he’s able to speak to TNT Sport before the game. He just explained a little about the communication he will have with the bench:
“I have a connection with the bench, but we have two or three coaching staff on the bench who can manage the situation,” the Chelsea manager said.
He also had time to give a word about Enzo Fernandez, who came back from Argentina duty with knee swelling and isn’t included today:
“He’s out with an injury. Hopefully he’ll be back very soon.”

Meanwhile Malo Gusto has been drafted into midfield, and he spoke to TNT as well about the prospect of facing a struggling Nottingham Forest team immediately after an international break.
“It was important for us to win against Liverpool. Now we’re back. It will be a tricky game because of the time, it’s always difficult to switch on after the international break, but we know that it will be important to get the three points,” the defender said.
“It’s about creating momentum. Keep building something between us, keep pushing. It’s important to have consistency.”
With all these lineup changed, this is going to be a far bigger test than expected.

It’s going to be a tough day for Chelsea without Enzo, but they’re also missing Moises Caicedo. The Ecuador star has been almost ever present for the Blues since signing in August 2023, and for good reason. A look at their record without him is scary.
