Ange-Yoan Bonny sprung the offside trap to give Inter a huge victory away to joint leaders Roma, allowing them to catch the Giallorossi and Napoli in first place.
The Giallorossi were joint top of the table and had the chance to break away after Napoli’s 1-0 defeat to Torino. They missed Angelino with bronchitis, but had Paulo Dybala back from injury as a False 9. Marcus Thuram, Matteo Darmian and Raffaele Di Gennaro did not make the trip to the Olimpico, so Bonny was picked to start.
See how it all unfolded on the Liveblog.

It was a surprising start, as Bonny sprung the offside trap from practically the centre-circle on a Nicolò Barella through ball and kept his cool to beat an uncertain Mile Svilar one-on-one at the near post, with VAR confirming the Roma defence had kept him level.

Bryan Cristante’s header on a Dybala corner skimmed the crossbar, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan failed to make the most of a chance created by Alessandro Bastoni’s high press.
Wesley’s cross flashed past three different Giallorossi teammates in the box, but after the restart Denzel Dumfries ran onto a Bastoni pass very similar to the goal, this time Svilar managed to make the save.
Yann Sommer did the same on a Dybala’s angled drive at the near post after he sprung the offside trap on a Manu Kone pass. On the resulting corner, Sommer was again alert on Mario Hermoso’s bouncing header off the ground.
Sommer made the third big save in a few minutes, getting down to push away the Dybala free kick from the edge of the area.

Roma were pouring forward, as first Francesco Acerbi deflected a Zeki Celik strike onto the side-netting from close range, then Artem Dovbyk nodded over from the corner when Sommer had mistimed an intervention.
Bastoni’s control with the left foot and volley with the right was on target until a Wesley deflection, while Leon Bailey finally made his Roma debut after an injury in his first training session.
However, Inter almost doubled their lead at the 84th minute when Davide Frattesi pulled back from the by-line and Mkhitaryan swept it first-time, hitting the upright.
Dovbyk turned Francesco Acerbi to test Sommer, then Bryan Cristante nodded a Bailey free kick over.
